Britons - taking tea wherever we go…

The tastes of British holiday-makers range from the homely to the bizarre, with some happy to tuck into English fry-ups and baked beans and others willing to sample baked Armadillo.
Some of the strangest dishes eaten by Britons abroad include cactus worms, dragonflies, chicken feet and sheeps eyeballs.

But despite this sense of culinary adventure, research shows that 50% of British holiday-makers take tea bags abroad with them. 10% also pack long-life milk as a precaution. With temperatures across the world rising, those considering packing the usual tea bags might want to find some fruit infusions to add to that collection - as they can make a refreshing iced tea drink for the hotter climates. Adding a little syrup, sugar or honey to your iced tea can make the difference, and even help to wean your holiday-hyper kids off local soda and sweet drinks.
In the end though, it’s all tea, and if a nice warm milky cup of tea is a nice reminder of home when in a foreign country then it certainly isn’t the worst thing we could take with us.

Unfortunately, the survey stopped short of enquiring how many of these holiday-makers take teapots and cosies along too!
